SPIRE Unavailable from 5:00 p.m. - Fri, 10/2

SPIRE will be unavailable beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 until approximately 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3 while we perform routine maintenance. If you experience problems with SPIRE after this maintenance window, please clear your browser's cache before contacting the IT Help Center during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.). 

Change Your UMass Amherst IT Account Password Today

In the coming weeks and months, we will be tightening controls and enforcing periodic password changes on IT Account NetIDs. To support this, please change your IT Account NetID password if you have not done so in the past year. It is extremely important that you also register an additional non-UMass email address in SPIRE to allow you to remotely reset a forgotten or expired password. Note: If you do not register an additional email address in SPIRE, you will need to come to IT User Services to reset an expired password.

Update on Campus Network Performance

Since the start of the academic year Information Technology User Services (413-545-9400 or received approximately 1,015 requests from students about a range of campus networking concerns (such as connection issues or network slowness). We understand the importance of networking services to all of our campus community members and are working to resolve all reported issues. While working on the reported issues we have also been actively adding capacity and adjusting our campus systems and controls.
