Students and alumni, if you have ever logged into SPIRE, use SPIRE to view or print an unofficial transcript. The unofficial transcript lists your classes, credits, and grades that you earned at UMass Amherst. If you need help logging in to SPIRE, review SPIRE Logon Information page.
Note: An unofficial transcript cannot be used to verify your academic record for official purposes. It is for reference purposes only.
If you have access to SPIRE, go to the SPIRE Main Menu, then to Academics > Unofficial Transcript and follow the directions. Use the PDF print feature if you wish to print your unofficial transcript.
If you are a UMass alumna or alumnus and you never logged into SPIRE as an active student, you must contact the appropriate registrar’s office, whether that is the University Registrar (for most undergraduate records), the Graduate School, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, or Continuing & Professional Education. If you need an unofficial transcript, review the University Registrar's Official Transcript page, which includes contact information for all of these offices at the end of the page.
The official transcript is an official record of your classes, credits, and grades that you earned at UMass Amherst. Send it to universities or other institutions to support your applications and verify your academic record.
Not everyone can use SPIRE to request an official transcript. See below for your options.
To check the status of a submitted request, contact the University Registrar about all electronic transcripts. Otherwise, contact the office where you made the request, whether that was the University Registrar (for most undergraduates), the Graduate School, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, or Continuing & Professional Education. Visit the University Registrar's Official Transcript page for contact information.
